Fighting crime. Without the capes.
Business Watch Tampa is a free program offered by the City of Tampa Police Department that encourages neighboring businesses to become each others’ eyes and ears. It first launched in Ybor City with dramatic results: crime was reduced by 60% during the day and 50% at night.
Your new business partners.
You’ll get to know a specially assigned group of Tampa Police Officers dedicated to your community. You’ll have their cell numbers in case you have any questions or concerns. They’ll also be giving safety seminars and discussing best practices at your town hall meetings.
Your badge of safety.
You’ll receive a window decal that gives your group of officers access to your contact information through special serial numbers. This enables them to contact you after-hours if the need arises.
Strength in numbers.
As a member, you’ll not only enjoy the positive effects of doing business in a safer community, you’ll also be part of your community’s collective voice to address any concerns. The more businesses that join, the more you can achieve. So tell your neighbors! Share on Facebook.
